Pin Oak Orchestra

The Pin Oak Orchestra is now in its third year and we are growing like crazy! You can join the orchestra if you have never played an instrument, or if you have played for many years - we have students who have played as many as seven or eight years in our group! There are three levels of experience-Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced orchestra classes.

We perform at many places around our community-we played at the Houston Medical Center for critically ill patients, the George Bush Presidential Library Christmas Celebration in College Station, Music in the Park in San Antonio, and for the first time in Pin Oak history, the Orchestra competed in the University Interscholastic League Concert and Sight Reading Contest this past spring and received the highest award given, which is the Sweepstakes Award!

We have lots of fun, too! We enjoyed spending the day at Six Flags Theme Park this past spring as well as taking part in many Pin Oak activities, such as Multi-Cultural Day and Eighth Grade graduation.
